In July 2022, the Blackwell School Alliance and National Parks Conservation Association hosted a community meeting to understand values, perspectives, and challenges around preserving the Blackwell School and its stories. This was not the first, nor will it be the last, meeting of people who care about the Blackwell School and the Marfa community. In addition to public input, we rely on historical documentation to understand the mosaic of experiences.
